God Of War III: A New Era Of Visual Graphics

9 March 2010 No Comment

Roadrunner Records has some of their top selling artists owning the latest installment of the epic trilogy video game series known as God Of War III. Killswitch Engage, Dream Theater, Taking Dawn, Opeth, Trivium and Mutiny Within have all joined forces and made the soundtrack sort of speak, one of the best out there to date.

Here is the track listing:

Killswitch Engage – My Obsession

Trivium – Shattering The Skies Above

Dream Theatre – Raw Dog

Taking Dawn – This is Madness

Opeth – Throat Of Winter

Mutiny Within – The End

Set for a March 16th 2010 release exclusively for the PlayStation®3 (PS3) system, this game promises to feature fluid, life-like characters, dynamic lighting effects, an extensive weapon system, and world-changing scenarios that will truly bring unmistakable realism to Kratos™ fateful quest. All thanks to being developed by Sony Computer Entertainment’s Santa Monica Studios using a new game engine built from the ground up and state-of-the-art visual technologies.

I was able to attend a media only event February 24th at Siren Studios in Hollywood, CA where I got the opportunity to meet with developers and had hands on time with the video game itself. Let me tell you, I’m not a gamer at all. The last game I was actually into was probably Tetris back in my elementary school days, maybe even Pokemon. But, God of War III absolutely blew my mind. The graphics, realism and story line are ridiculously life like.
