Cardiac

Cardiac is a project of David DiSarro (Stitched Up Heart, High Risk) that originated almost a decade ago. He had a couple of songs written, at least lyrically, but then had a broader idea of a rock opera. It took on a life of its own and opened up his own creativity; writing song after song that all lends to a story and character development.
The result is an epic 20 song treatment, which is set for release sometime in 2017, with a bigger vision to follow. As a rock opera, …

Stitched Up Heart

Mixi formed Stitched Up Heart in the aftermath of a not so desirable forced solo gig with Geffen Records as a result of her winning a Fuse TV reality show, Redemption Song in 2008. Mixi prefers to be fronting a band and only did a single and video for Geffen. If you haven’t heard Mixi and her band which is comprised of James Decker on drums, Meritt Goodwin on bass, Luke Man on guitar (and are currently in discussion about adding a second guitarist) they are far from the pop princess that Geffen wanted her to be.

Saint Ridley Interview

Most bands say they are willing to make any sacrifice for their music but Saint Ridley front man Paul Ridley has actually died more than once in pursuit of the dream. “I was dead for just under five minutes. They brought me back. I died again. They brought me back again…”

HedPE

Gomes quickly avers that Evolution and the material is a departure from the earlier work of (HED) p.e. which was laden with some hardcore punk on one song, to metal and rap on another. That departure and producing an entire album that wasn’t all over the place but with songs all with the same direction…

Blindfold the Devil

Metal’s latest addition to national touring circuit Blindfold the Devil just finished a massive North American trek with Stitched Up Heart taking BtD’s brand of melodic thrash to the masses. The tour which was sponsored by Hollywood Music was a complete success for the band and their fans except when the band almost died horribly by launching into a several hundred foot ravine in their RV.

Matt Snell

Well I have said it many times before but the bands with the worst names make the best music. My Acumen’s first EP is so badass it’s going to make it onto my top 10 for 2013. Where exactly on the list it will land I don’t know yet because 2013’s chubby chick ain’t done yodeling yet.

Pistol Day Parade

The newest edition to the band is 18-year-old Jason Hartless, though at young age has an extensive resume in the industry. Jason auditioned for the band when he was 14, at the time PDP was hesitant to bring him on board, “we did [adult] things, and didn’t want to influence him in a negative aspect,” Jason said. After the previous drummer didn’t work out, they called Hartless and brought him on board.

Fist Fight

(By Groovey) Fist Fight’s music is as straight forward and ass kicking as their name.  This Denver based five piece mosh maker is a mix of chocolaty metal and peanut buttery hardcore served with a generous helping of brass knuckles.  It  just smashes the stupid right out of you but keeps you smiling the whole time. Their latest album which will be released this fall is entitled Conflict and was recorded at Steam Punk Audio and mixed and mastered by Ahrue Luster of Ill Nino and Machine Head Fame.  Mr. Luster had …
