How to Destroy Vegas in 48 Hours

14 November 2011 No Comment

VIVA LAS VEGAS! It was a non-stop party at the Luxor Fairgrounds in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada when the 48 Hour Festival came roaring through October 15th and 16th. Escape The Fate, Black Tide, Hatebreed, Rev Theory, Otherwise, Adelitas Way, Hollywood Undead, Five Finger Death Punch and Avenged Sevenfold comprised the first day of the festival. But the party didn’t end there. After the day was done, if you headed over to the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay, you got to watch Fozzy and an all star jam take place as part of a series of after parties being thrown by Rockstar Energy Drink.

Day two kicked off with Eyes Set To Kill, Taking Dawn, Art of Dying, Sevendust, 10 Years, Sick Puppies, Seether, Three Days Grace, Godsmack and Korn. There was a bit of something for everyone. With over 15,000 people in attendance on the second day, I’d say it was the best crowd I’d seen in a while.

Seeing familiar faces both on stage and in the crowd always give me a warm and fuzzy feeling if you will. It seems like every year there are more and more festivals popping up all over the country. Two and three day festivals are becoming the trend and I’m sure that with time, this will be the new standard for fans and musicians to get their music fix.
