Stone Sour

27 February 2011 One Comment

Rain nor sweltering heat would prevent me from seeing Stone Sour at the House of Blues in Anaheim, CA on Tuesday, February 15th 2011. It was actually raining so I meant that in a literal way. Seeing as how the stage there is a lot closer to ground then the stage at the Irvine Meadows in Irvine and the RaboBank Arena in Bakersfield, where I photographed Stone Sour in 2010 during the Rockstar Uproar Tour, this time the band is much closer to the photographers. Which in turn gives me a whole new set of shots to use.

Corey Taylor is usually thought to be an angry man who hides behind a mask and has a heart full of anger. Well, this is not the case. If you’ve ever heard Stone Sour, you would see a completely different side of Corey Taylor. Plus, just a little tid bit of information, Stone Sour started before Slipknot.

It was a sold out house and the crowd knew the words to every song. Usually a sign that you’re doing something right as a band. They played some of the classics such as “Bother”, “Get Inside”, and some newer stuff like “Come What(Ever) May”, “Say You’ll Haunt Me” and “Hell and Consequences”.

This year seems to be bringing a lot of great bands to the attention of HollywoodMusicMagazine.com. Make sure to stay tuned and see which one of your favorite bands we’ll cover next!
