Pop Evil Rock Denver

Pop evil(By Brandy Cordova) Pop Evil hit the Ogden Theater on Monday, February 3, 2014. They, along with Los Angeles-based experimental rock band Stolen Babies, are direct support for Stone Sour during their 2014 winter tour.

The last three times through Denver have been great for Michigan’s Pop Evil; they have gained a larger fan base and rock harder and harder each time. This time, they really brought it. It’s hard to not see why.

As soon as they hit the stage, they wasted no time getting the crowd jumping up and down with their fists pumping in the air. Fans all around were into the beats, tunes and eye catchers on stage delivering.

Lead vocalist Leigh Kakaty bellowed out impressive vocals. Guitarists Davey Grahs and Nick Fuelling danced and moshed around with their sweet looking guitars, while bassist Matt DiRito did the same in the midst of the other guys. Drummer Chachi Riot threw down his beats, while standing a lot of the time; this equals to great entertainment.

Pop Evil is definitely a band to watch, both literally and figuratively. They, along with Stolen Babies, really set the night’s vibe for an awesome ending with Stone Sour.

After their tour with Stone Sour, Pop Evil will venture out to Europe for their first European tour supporting Five Finger Death Punch with their “Wrong Side of Heaven World Tour”.
