The Autumn Offering: This time it’s personal

31 July 2010 No Comment

Heavier then previous work done by Daytona Beach, Florida’s very own ‘The Autumn Offering’, their new self-titled album is set to hit shelves and online stores nationwide August 31st 2010 via Victory Records and is sure to leave your ears bleeding.

Melodic, Angry and Personal is what makes this album different from the rest. Matt McChesney made it a point to change it up a bit and write about more then just past relationships and heartache. This time around, the lyrics took on a more personal approach and delve into substance abuse and growing up in a damaged home of sorts. Mind blowing guitar solos and melodic vocal singing parts comprise each song and separate it from the next. This isn’t your typical metal album where you can’t really distinguish one song from another.

It can’t go without being said, the addition of a new guitarist, Jesse Nunn and bassist Carl Bensley is a step in a positive direction for the group. Jesse is a manager at my management company, ‘Metaphor Management’ and Carl has a been a good friend of mine for some time.  You can catch The Autumn Offering on tour this fall alongside another more good friends of mine, Silent Civilian.

Head over to the band MySpace’s which are linked below and look up when this hurricane is coming near you. Make sure to tell them you read the new album review on HollywoodMusicMagazine.com.
