They’re Back! Orange County, CA based LIVID has reunited and are ready to play live. LIVID was active in the Southern California Music Scene from 1997 – 2001 as they garnered a huge following in the music scene through their intense live shows where they climbed their way from opener to headliner status at the top venues including The Whisky, Troubadour, Glass House, and The Roxy Theater. LIVID not only had a large local following, but a massive internet fanbase as well that spanned the globe with dedicated fans that helped spread the word in the early days of online band promotion trading demo tapes, MP3′s, and CD’s. When LIVID would venture out of their area, they were welcomed by fans already wearing their shirts and knowing their music.

LIVID released and sold out of an independent EP in 1999 that had fan favorites such as IRIS, SHAME, and EL DIABLO. When asked why get back together now, guitarist Vayps stated, “this whole thing came about when I was talking with 20 DEAD FLOWER CHILDREN guitarist KEITH talking about the old times playing the strip together and thought it would be cool to do a reunion show just for fun? Sizzo was getting into the new DEFTONES album and called and said he felt like jamming again. I then hit up Jim (drums) to see if he wanted to do it and he was down! Rob (aka SMOKIE – bass) was not into it. So we started the process of jamming together with the original LIVID bass player, but that didn’t work out. LIVID manager Mark offered to play bass (he’s a drummer not a bassist) and at his first rehearsal, he pretty much nailed it! Our sound has improved with Mark on bass.” And the band has been rehearsing for the past couple of months, getting the songs tighter than ever before, and have even managed to write a few new songs.

LIVID will play their first gig on Friday, February 3rd at the Slidebar in Fullerton, CA.

LIVID has shared the stage with the likes of MACHINE HEAD, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SEVENDUST, PAPA ROACH, DANZIG, SIX FEET UNDER, and countless others before their breakup in 2001.
