Corey Taylor: Seven Deadly Sins

22 November 2011 No Comment

The “Great Big Mouth” also known as Corey Taylor has made his opinion known loud and clear with his latest endeavor, which comes to us in the form of a book. A bestselling book at that. Entitled ‘Corey Taylor: Seven Deadly Sins’. A literary genius of this day and age, the man you know as the front man for two of the most successful bands in the music industry, Stone Sour and Slipknot. ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ is full of hilarious and thought provoking metaphors, innuendos and references that need to be highlighted just so you can show your friends.

Eleven chapters filled with unquestionable proof that the seven deadly sins as we know them, well, aren’t legit sins at all. This isn’t the type of book that belongs on a dusty bookshelf and you read it when you have nothing else to do. Nor does it belong on that nifty little magazine rack you may have in your bathroom if that’s what tickles your fancy. ‘Seven Deadly Sins’ is a thought provoking, sometimes slightly confusing novel of sorts that truly puts a spotlight on what has been embedded in our brains since we set foot on this planet.

Once done reading this book, you will no longer look at Wrath, Lust, Vanity, Sloth, Envy, Greed, Glutton as the original “Seven Deadly Sins”. Instead, ask yourself this: is wanting to look good and be presentable to world, also known as vanity, a sin? I consider it a near necessity of life. However, if that’s the plateau you’re on well then what would you consider murder? Got ya thinking right?

I can not recommend this book enough, hell I will buy you a copy or let you borrow mine if it means that you’ll make some time in your busy days, to read at least a few pages at a time. This a MUST-READ book if I’ve ever seen one.
